  Courses for Learner Drivers

  • It is essential that pupils follow a structured learning programme when learning to drive. You will be given structured tuition following a logical sequence in line with the DSA syllabus

  • You can do lessons as you chose.  Most will do weekly lessons of either one or two hours duration a week

  • Statistics would show that most people pick up learning to drive quicker by undertaking  a  couple of hours per week.   This obviously depends on peoples’ finances and available time and we will fit around this.  You will be given continuous feedback on your progress and readiness for the practical driving test

Intensive Courses for Learner Drivers

  • Intensive driving courses are best suited for students with some previous experience and have already taken and passed the theory test.  The normal course of events would entail a course of lessons over a pre arranged period of time concluding with a practical test at the end of it
  • 10 hour course - suitable for someone who has probably taken and failed a driving test and needs a refresher before the next test
  • 20 hour course - probably someone who had driving lessons a while ago and never got around to taking the test
  • 30 hour course – suitable for someone who has had very little driving experience and needs a licence in a hurry to enhance their job prospects or something similar
  • 40 hour course - this should be for someone who has had very little or no driving experience who does not want the efforts and time restraints of doing the weekly lessons

Because of the large volume of time taken on intensive courses, they need to be booked in advance and paid in full before the course commences

Our initial assessment lesson will provide you with the best indication as to what course would best suit your needs

Advanced Driver Training
  • What is advanced driving?  It is driving in a safe systematic manner, at the correct speed, in the correct gear, in the correct position on the road
  • There are three main advanced driving tests:  Rospa: The Institute of Advanced Motorists and the Diamond Advanced.  All of these should be within the remit of an experienced driver with some training
  • The proprietor of this driving school is an Advanced Driving test Instructor and Examiner so where could you get better coaching from?
Fleet Training
  • Companies/ employers are responsible to vet and have an induction with any new drivers to ensure they are properly licensed, competent and suitably trained on any company vehicle. These measures could help in reducing the risk of incidents and crashes occurring through lack of basic skills and understanding of basic safety factors. Risk assessments will help fleet managers and individuals concerned to determine the person’s competence to drive the vehicle and demonstrate their awareness of UK traffic law
  • The proprietor is a registered fleet trainer and a programme can be structured to suit individual or company needs
